Programs are held at community centres, aquatic facilities, arenas, and parks across the city, making it easy to find something close to home.
New Westminster’s community centres are vibrant hubs where residents can connect, learn, and get active. They offer gyms, fitness studios, multipurpose rooms, and spaces for arts, culture, and social programs. Each location provides a unique mix of programs and amenities.
Queensborough Community Centre
A hub for the neighbourhood offering fitness classes, youth programs, drop-ins, and a branch library. It also houses the community living room and a number of partner services.

Təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic & Community Centre – The city’s newest facility featuring swimming pools, fitness spaces, aquafit, wellness classes, and more.
Queen’s Park Sportsplex & Arena – Offers gymnastics, skating, hockey, and seasonal programs for people of all ages.
Century House – Focuses on seniors 50+ programs but offers inclusive wellness, arts, and cultural classes open to all.
Moody Park Arena – Ice rink, programs, and events in the heart of Moody Park.

Registering for Programs & Drop‑Ins with New Westminster Parks and Recreation
Visit the Registration Information page on the City site here.
Create an online account (add all household members, with correct info).
Log in and click Schedule to view programs by category, dates, age, location, or course ID.
Click Book on your chosen activity and complete checkout.
If a class is full, join the waitlist. Sometimes high demand could prompt new sessions.
Pro Tip: Have your payment method ready when registration opens, and registering with a friend can help speed things along!
You can also purchase an ActivePASS to access drop-in activities, such as swimming, gymnastics, skating etc.
