This fall, Queensborough Community Centre is buzzing with activities for all ages! Bring your little ones to our theme-based toddler workshops or sign them up for Pro-D day camps packed with fun and learning. Explore your creative side with crochet, water colours, sewing, and creativity workshops, or get ready for the holidays with a Winter Market table project. Don’t forget our indoor playland, perfect for kids to burn off energy while staying warm.

Join artist Julie Epp for a playful exploration of watercolour line and wash! In this workshop, you’ll learn how to sketch a whimsical house and bring it to life with ink outlines and loose, vibrant washes of colour. We’ll cover simple drawing techniques, tips for combining pen and watercolour, and ways to keep your artwork light, expressive, and full of charm, perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike. Presented in partnership with Arts New West.

Be inspired by local artists with a social art workshop, featuring a new project or theme each week. Take creative risks, use your imagination, and have fun as you practice your skills or learn something new. All supplies will be provided. No registration. Join artist Priscilla Holtz and learn how to make papel picado, a traditional Mexican decoration of cut paper, usually made into a colourful banner. Using only tissue paper and scissors, we’ll create a variety of fun and easy designs. While papel picado is used for most festivities, it’s especially iconic for Day of the Dead, so don’t miss out.

Create an online account (add all household members, with correct info).
Log in and click Schedule to view programs by category, dates, age, location, or course ID.
Click Book on your chosen activity and complete checkout.
If a class is full, join the waitlist. Sometimes high demand could prompt new sessions.
Pro Tip: Have your payment method ready when registration opens, and registering with a friend can help speed things along!
You can also purchase an ActivePASS to access drop-in activities, such as swimming, gymnastics, skating etc.
