The Queensborough Community Centre offers a variety of programs and activities for all ages, including fitness classes, art workshops, youth sports, drop-ins, and toddler & children's programs. This fall, Queensborough Community Centre is buzzing with activities for all ages! Bring your little ones to our theme-based toddler workshops or sign them up for Pro-D day camps packed with fun and learning. Join artist Julie Epp for a playful exploration of watercolour line and wash! In this workshop, you’ll learn how to sketch a whimsical house and bring it to life with ink outlines and loose, vibrant washes of colour. We’ll cover simple drawing techniques, tips for combining pen and watercolour, and ways to keep your artwork light, expressive, and full of charm, perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike. Presented in partnership with Arts New West.

Join artist Priscilla Holtz and learn how to make papel picado, a traditional Mexican decoration of cut paper, usually made into a colourful banner. Using only tissue paper and scissors, we’ll create a variety of fun and easy designs. While papel picado is used for most festivities, it’s especially iconic for Day of the Dead, so don’t miss out.
